(Q) What are Cross Promotions and How do I use them? |
|
Cross-Promotion Connections You can arrange with other sellers to cross-promote each others' items to increase listing exposure to prospective buyers. These arrangements are called "cross-promotion connections."
How a connection works 1. You request a connection with a seller you know and trust. Or, you receive a request from another seller, which you can accept or decline. If the request is accepted, an active connection is formed. 2. When a buyer bids on or wins an item belonging to you or the other seller, both your items and the other seller's items will be promoted to the buyer.
Arranging and managing connections Use the Cross-Promotion Connections page to perform all your cross-promotion activities with other sellers: • Request a connection with another seller. • Accept or decline a request from another seller. • End an active connection. • Change your preferences: You can control which items from other sellers are promoted, or turn off the ability to make cross-promotion connections entirely. 1. You request a connection with a seller you know and trust. Or, you receive a request from another seller, which you can accept or decline. If the request is accepted, an active connection is formed. |

(Q) How can I advertise on Biker Bids? |
|
Reaching your target market has never been easier. Put your ad in front of all Bikers who visit our site each day. All you need is a Pay Pal account and a banner!
We offer advertising solutions for any budget. In fact, you can start advertising your products and services for as little as $10.00! Our program is based on pre-paid banner impressions. This ensures you only pay when users actually see your ad, unlike many monthly programs that you may have seen elsewhere.
Benefits of our program include:
* Pre-Paid Advertising: Never go over your budget! * You choose where you want your ad to be seen/placed. * Track the progress and success of your banner from your Member Area. * You can pause your advertising at anytime, to extend your advertising campaign.
To start your advertising campaign:
1. Login to your Member Area (don't have an account? Create one--it's FREE!). 2. Click on the 'Banner Advertising' link in the My Account section.
3. Choose which zone you want your ad to appear in and upload your banner.
It's that simple!
If you do not have a banner, and would like us to create one for you, please contact us. |
|

Biker Bids is the first auction website to include Item Swapping. The seller of an auction has the option to choose whether or not they want to accept swap offers. |
(Q) How do I know if a seller or bidder is a good auctioneer? |

|
(Q) What are some of the benefit of using Skype? |
|
Here are some ways Skype can help build your auction business: Include a Skype Buttonin your profile and email signature to show your buyers when they can call or send you a message. Call regular phone numbers anywhere in the world from Skype, with SkypeOut- it's not free but it is pretty cheapactually. You can also forward the callsyou receive on Skype to another Skype name or phone. It won't cost others any extra to call, and you simply pay the standard SkypeOutrate to call the number that you forward to. Phone numbers. Get a SkypeInnumber so your buyers can call a regular telephone number to reach you on Skype, wherever you are. Let's say you have a Chicago-based SkypeIn number, but you're temporarily away… Your Chicago area buyers - or anyone else - can just dial your SkypeIn number to reach you. And they'll only pay whatever their phone company charges them for making a phone call to Chicago. You can have up to ten SkypeIn numbers associated with your Skype Name. SkypeIn comes with free voicemailso you never miss a call. You can conference call with up to 5 people at the same time, including those you call with SkypeOut. Skype Groupsmakes it easy to allocate Skype Credit, SkypeInnumbers and Skype Voicemailto all members of your business. And it's easy to print nice documents that will keep the people who care about the numbers happy, too. The Skype Email Toolbarbrings all your Skype and MS Outlook contacts together in one handy place. That means you'll be able to call your Skype contacts who email you and make SkypeOut calls to your Outlook contacts who aren't on Skype yet. Biker Bids integrated Skype in the auction listings on March 25, 2005 which was months ahead of eBay - June 20, 2005 |
